Job Summary:

Review of all laws, regulations, procedures, contracts and agreements, and provide strong answers. Study and provide strong and justifiable answers to the notice and inquiries addressed by any legislative and justice authorities. Solve all legal issues related to work and job affairs of the office. Have sufficient knowledge of mining and petroleum legal framework and related laws and regulations. Identify potential legal problems; perform comparative research and critical analysis, make recommendations for making policy, law, procedure, or legislative changes, as appropriate, under the legal directorate. Analyze any official letter, and any relevant documents interns of legal aspect.

Skills Description:

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for solving/advising overall legal issues of the directorate.

2. Manage, file, revision, storage and security of all legal documents.

3. Participate in meetings as assigned by the directorate.

4. Review of all laws, regulations, procedures, contracts and agreements, and provide strong answers.

5. Study and provide strong and justifiable answers to the notice and inquiries addressed by any legislative and justice authorities.

6. Solve all legal issues related to work and job affairs of the office.

7. Have sufficient knowledge of mining and petroleum legal framework and related laws and regulations

8. Identify potential legal problems; perform comparative research and critical analysis, make recommendations for making policy, law, procedure, or legislative changes, as appropriate, under the legal directorate.

9. Analyze any official letter, and any relevant documents interns of legal aspect.

10. Any other tasks assigned by the directorate and ministry.

Job Location:

Afghanistan, Kabul

Qualifications:

University degree in law or related subject; Master’s preferable.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

Able to produce reports and other standards documents up to a professional standard Fluency in English (written and spoken), Pashto and Dari, local language proficiency is desirable.
