Afghan and Uzbek Delegations Hold Joint Meeting to Resolve Technical Challenges Related to the Toti Maidan Gas Block
Technical and professional delegation from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan has traveled to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, for the purpose of jointly assessing the existing technical challenges and identifying solutions related to the contract for the Toti Maidan Gas Block.
During the visit, several joint technical meetings were conducted between officials and representatives of the relevant institutions of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. During these meetings, the issues related to the Toti Maidan Gas Block were comprehensively reviewed.
Significant progress has been made toward identifying joint and practical solutions to the existing challenges, and technical discussions and consultations are still ongoing.
Furthermore, the delegation toured the Geological Museum affiliated with the Ministry of Mines of Uzbekistan. While visiting the museum, information was presented on Uzbekistan’s geological studies, geological heritage, mineral specimens, and scientific and technical activities undertaken in the field of geology.
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum values such technical and professional cooperation and believes that the expansion of continued cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in the fields of mining, petroleum, and natural gas can further strengthen mutual interests and economic cooperation between the two countries.
