Minister of Mines and Petroleum Meets with the Ambassador of Qatar

Mr. Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, met with Dr. Murdif bin Ali Al-Qashouti Ambassador of Qatar, at his office on Sunday, September 30, 2026.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Qatar discussed his country’s political and economic relations with Afghanistan, as well as existing investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s mineral resources, particularly in the oil and gas sectors. He also discussed the modalities for establishing a standard crude oil refinery.
The Minister of Mines and Petroleum welcomed Qatar’s interest in the mentioned sectors and assured them of the Ministry’s full cooperation.
