Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs Meets with Iranian Ambassador

Mr. Abdul Rahman Qanit, Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, met with Ali Reza Bikdeli, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at his office on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
During the meeting, both sides discussed and exchanged views on economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran, mineral resources, and  other relevant issues.
The Iranian Ambassador expressed his country’s commitment to further expand and strengthen cooperation between the two countries, particularly in oil and gas, laboratory establishment, and other related sectors.
The Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs, assured them of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum’s full cooperation about joint activities and legal cooperations.
